The UK is a great place for walkers. There are literally thousands of footpaths, most of which are easily accessible. If you love walking, this is the place to do it.
Having just posted a blog on the joys of exploring your own country, and promising to add more on this topic. It occurred to me that it would be more helpful to have a page whose primary purpose is to act as a link to all the appropriate articles. As I write them, I will put them on this page. Easier for you to browse.
If you have any suggestions re places you might like to explore (by walking) in the UK. let me know. I might even do the ground work for you.
What I will do is try to bring to you the feel of the landscape, what there is that is worth seeing, and what lesser known gems I might discover along the way. What I will not be doing is spell out the route. If any walk I write about entices you, you may have to do a little bit of work yourself re some map-reading, deciding where to stay, etc. All part of the fun.
